No — the BOMBANANA! demo is no longer available. The studio took the free demo down on August 20, 2026 at 16:00 UTC, two weeks before the full game launched: its old store page now redirects to the Steam homepage, and a Steam store search for the title returns only the paid game as of September 2026. If you want to play BOMBANANA! today, the way in is the full game on Steam.
What the Demo Was
The demo ran from June 15, 2026 until it was pulled on August 20, 2026, and it was enormous:
- Over 6 million demo players, per the official content reveal announcement.
- The #1 most-played demo of Steam Next Fest (June 2026), and one of the hottest demos of the entire summer.
- Overwhelmingly positive reception — around 97% positive across more than 4,500 demo reviews in June.
- Over 1 million wishlists accumulated before launch.
The demo contained 7 campaign levels, the full three-role mechanic set, a Free Mode, and early module types: wires, braille, keypad, and switches. Its Level 5 — the first level combining switches with other modules — became the community's reference point for "the wall."
Why It Was Delisted
The studio announced the removal on August 19, 2026, saying the small team needed to focus everything on the full game in order to test its features. It also said the demo would come back alongside the full launch — that did not happen. For the player, the practical consequences are simple:
- There is no longer a free trial of BOMBANANA!.
- Old demo links, bookmarks, and third-party pages pointing at the demo's Steam app page no longer work.
- Any site still offering a "BOMBANANA! demo download" in 2026 is not pointing at a live official page — see the warning below.
How to Play BOMBANANA! Now
The only official channel is the Steam store page: BOMBANANA! on Steam, priced at $7.99 (the 38% launch discount of about $4.95 ran through September 9, 2026 and is over). The full game contains everything the demo had and far more: 30 campaign levels, Endless and Custom modes, 14 puzzle modules, environmental hazards, and 23 achievements.
If you played the demo back in June and are returning: the full game's difficulty curve is friendlier than demo Level 5, roles rotate as before, and the server browser means you no longer need Steam friends to build a lobby — the demo-era friend-invite restriction is gone.
Watch Out for Fake Demo Downloads
Searches for "bombanana demo" and "bombanana download" surface fake APK and PC-mirror download sites that have appeared since the game went viral — pages offering "official" Android or iOS versions of BOMBANANA!, or a "PC version" outside Steam. BOMBANANA! has no mobile version and no storefront other than Steam. Any download that is not the Steam store page is unofficial, and no official channel will ever ask you to install the game from a third-party mirror.
The same rule applies to "free full version" offers: the game is a paid one-time purchase with no free-to-play tier, no in-game purchases, and no redeemable code system.
Demo-Era Content, Corrected
A lot of early guides were written against the demo and are quietly out of date:
- The demo's 7 levels are now 30.
- Demo guides describing friend-invite-only lobbies are superseded by the server browser and room codes.
- The demo's fixed manual (identical every round, as players memorized it) may not reflect how all launch content behaves.
- Demo stats pages listing "16 achievements" predate the launch version's 23.
For the current state of the game, start with how many levels BOMBANANA! has and the beginner guide — both reflect the September 2026 launch version.
This page is a community guide — strategies reflect the launch version (September 2026) and may shift after patches. The in-game defusal manual is always the final authority.
